What is the QR code sheet?
Many bills in the Swiss healthcare system now come with an additional sheet: the QR code sheet. It holds the same content as the bill – just packed into machine-readable QR codes.
An extra sheet with the bill
The QR code sheet is part of bills issued under the Forum Datenaustausch standard and is sent out with them.
The whole document in QR codes
The sheet holds the document's full content in up to twelve QR codes. How many there are depends on the length of the bill.

The content cannot be read with the naked eye. You scan all the codes on the sheet with the app and see the bill clearly laid out.
Readable by you, meant for your insurer
Your health insurer reads the QR codes electronically, so send the sheet in with the reimbursement document (Rückforderungsbeleg) – and use the app to see for yourself what the sheet says.
Not to be confused with the QR-bill
The Swiss QR Code on the payment slip is for making payments. That's something else entirely, and the app does not read it.
